Yesterday we were informed that our perfect 10 month old little girl has hip dysplasia. It was hard news to take in, having now to think about surgery etc. We understand there was nothing we could have done. But we are really kicking ourselves for not noticing it sooner, she recently started standing assisted and that's when we noticed her foot/ leg pointing outwards. We have an appointment this coming Tuesday with the specialist to discuss the next steps. So we are not positive that surgery is in the future, but everything we are reading into ( I know, I know, Google) is pretty much saying it will lead to this, considering her age.
Is there any Redditors that have had similar situations? Potentially some words of advise for what is in store in the near future? Life with a Spica Cast?
