This popular tourist attraction on the South Coast has undergone a massive transformation during lockdown and has now re-opened for a safe COVID-19 compliant outdoor, wildlife experience.
Why the kids will love it
The big drawcard of course will be getting to see REAL crocodiles up close, including a 100-year old crocodile named Henry who is 5 metres long and weighs around 1 000kg! If your kids are hungry for some action (aren’t they always), don’t miss the crocodile feeding demo on Saturdays and Sundays at 11am and 3pm.
If they love reptiles, they’ll also enjoy meeting the new arrivals: three angulate tortoises endemic to Southern Africa, a rock monitor (or leguaan), the second-largest lizard to be found on the African continent, and two Western Diamondback rattle snakes from the USA, which is housed in the snake tunnel.
If your kids prefer something tamer, they’ll enjoy exploring the bird aviaries and visiting the adorable animal farm with its pigs, goats, rabbits and other animals.
We’re giving away 2 sets of family tickets to Crocworld (each family ticket consists of 2 adult and 2 kids’ tickets). To enter, simply fill in the form below. Entries close 24 September at midnight. Competition open to KZN residents only. T’s & C’s apply.
