If you’re pregnant, one of the most exciting things to look forward to is creating a nursery for your precious bundle. While you might not exactly have the space, or the budget, you can easily take inspiration from these famous American celebrities’ gorgeous baby rooms and create your own budget-friendly nursery.
A room for an angel
While we’ve never seen a kids’ room quite this size, we love how American Idol star Brittany Aldean has introduced a chandelier and a gorgeous curtained-off crib area into her nursery to make it feel “girly, but with an edge.” We love the simplicity of her nursery but that it’s been given a luxurious, modern feel through the use of texture (note the fluffy carpet and pouffs and the soft curtains).
Christina Anstead, host of HGTV’s Flip or Flop and its popular spin-off series Christina on the Coast has created a nursery with the coolest boho vibe for her son Hudson. It has beautiful dream catchers, fringed wall hangings and plenty of plants, both inside and outside on the deck. We love the linen with its feather detail, the cute hippo rocker, the gold pouf for a touch of glamour, and the mini tables and chairs she’s brought into the room.
A gorgeous floral print forms the backdrop for this gorgeous nursery for baby Alessi, daughter of American racing driver Arie Luyendryk Jr. and Lauren Burham who met and fell in love on season 22 of The Bachelor. The white curtains and recliner, and grey walls soften the tone, keeping the room modern but feminine. And did you notice the two outfits displayed on the wall? We also love the plant in the corner and the beaded detail of the lampshade.
Sunny and cheerful
Jesse Tyler Ferguason from Modern Family and his partner decided on a bright nursery filled with whimsy, love, colour and fun vibes for their baby. Of course, it had to be gender-neutral too! We adore the multi-coloured pom-pom mobile and of course the treatment of the walls! This little baby is going to be one happy chappy with lots of floor space to play on when he starts crawling.
Actress Jenna Dewan wanted a calm, chic, neutral and whimsical room to bring her baby home to and decided on this monochrome colour theme with a touch of pink. While the wallpaper could be quite busy, it somehow all works together with the white walls and furniture and simple shelving idea. The carpet also softens the overall look. (Did you notice the two cute prints above the cot?)
Rosy hues with a touch of grey
Actress Joanna Krupa who is best known for her role in the Planet of the Apes also decided on soft candyfloss pink and dove grey tones for her baby Asha-Leigh’s nursery. The beautiful cot with its embossed detail takes centrestage. Besides the sweet standing lamp with its little pink bow attachment, we adore how she’s grouped the pictures on the wall. But the “baby” llama next to the cot has to take the icing on the cake!
