Our local celebrities have baby fever! The latest couple to announce their pregnancy is actress and singer Simphiwe “Simz” Ngema and model and actor Tino Chinyani.
Simz shared snaps of her baby bump on Instagram, revealing that Tino is her baby’s daddy. Her huge smile radiates her new-found happiness.
Sadly, the star lost her husband, Rhythm City actor and musician Dumi Masilela in a botched hijacking attempt in 2017 and has had a difficult time since. But in this moving post she shares that Tino has brought “hope and purpose to my life” and that she’ll always be grateful to him for “this beautiful gift and for teaching me how to love again.”
Tino also posted on his Instagram account to let his followers know he’s going to be a dad. He writes in his post, “Lord knows how long I prayed on this moment & to be answered in the most beautiful way possible. For this gift you have given me, I promise I will always love, care & be there for you & our seed.”
Rapper Kwesta and wife Yolanda Vilikazi also recently revealed they’re expecting their second baby.
Zola Nombona, best known for her role as Shado in the TV 1 drama series Intersextions, has shared how she is enjoying motherhood with the full support of her baby daddy, actor and filmmaker Thomas Gumede. The couple kept their relationship out of the spotlight until recently when Thomas posted Zola’s ultrasound pic on his Instagram account.

I remember clearly the day I found out about you. Your mother looked at me and said “I’m pregnant” and then proceeded to cry. I understood it was tears of joy, anxiety, excitement, disbelief, love and the small realization that life will never be the same again. As I’ve watched you grow from trying to feel for the 1st kick, to begging you to stop guquluzing and playing soccer and your mother’s tummy now in 3rd trimester😂😭🙏🏾. I have felt waves of emotions every time I think of you and every time you respond to my voice or my touch. But more importantly, you have given me something that I couldn’t give myself. I have been fortunate to live the life I have, a life of doing what I love with intense passion. All my achievements and all my ambitions still couldn’t give me what you have. You have given me PURPOSE. I now have a real reason to be as crazy and ambitious as I have been, because you need a role model, a hero, a friend, a mentor, a father. I promise you that I will do everything in my power to give you the best life opportunities, to smother you with love and kisses until you’re old enough to tell me to stop! I’ve felt love, but never like this. Woza mfan’wam, sik’lindile. ❤️😭🙏🏾
