An obviously very proud new dad, Chris Pratt took to Instagram on Monday to announce the birth of his daughter, Lyla Maria Schwartzenegger with a post we think is just too gorgeous.
The actor who voiced Emmet in The LEGO movie, wrote that, “We couldn’t be happier” with the photo of him and his wife, Katherine Schwartzenegger, holding their baby’s tiny little hands. “Both mom and baby are doing great. We are extremely blessed,” he said.
Chris already has a 7-year-old son from his first marriage to Anna Farris, but this is 30-year-old Katherine’s first baby.
Katherine, who is a published author, is the oldest daughter of Maria Schriver and Arnold Schwartzenegger.
The couple married in June last year and announced the pregnancy in April. A few weeks ago, Chris gave a shout-out on his Instagram story to Katherine, who hiked with him to the top of a mountain despite being so far along in her pregnancy.”
“Ready to pop, still don’t stop,” the Jurassic World star wrote, along with a picture of his wife and her rather large baby bump. “Kinda grateful it didn’t go down on the trail tho to be real.”
