Women are Wonderful – there’s no doubt about that. Wonder Woman is blessed with unique powers and abilities: beauty, strength, wisdom and speed just like the women of South Africa.
Be a super hero this Saturday and join the virtual Wonder Woman Run where thousands of active people will take to the streets wearing their Justice League Wonder Woman T-shirts, walking and running in celebration of Women’s Day.
What is the Wonder Woman virtual run about?
It’s a campaign to fight for those who can’t fight for themselves – the many underprivileged young children who certainly need a helping hand in these trying times.
Participation in these virtual runs/walks ensures contributions to beneficiaries such as Headstart Kids (who provide specialised, nutritional food packs to children aged 6 months to 5 years). The more entries, the more food packs and meals can be distributed.
Headstart Kids provides meal packs to children for R250. This provides a child with four meals per day for 30 days.
You will leave from your residence, on the same day, at the same time at 8am jogging, cycling, pushing your baby’s pram or even crawling. You can choose to do a 2.5km, 5km, 7.5km or 10km.
Join celebrity super heroes, Letshego Zulu, Nicole Capper, Kagiso Sebediela, LeAnne Dlamini, Paul Rothman, Coach Simon, Heidi M (resident greatness coach) and Patron and Ilzé Saunders for fun warm-up routines before the start of the Wonder Woman Run.
How much does it cost?
We know it’s tough times for everyone financially right now – but there are various ticket options available: R190 per person or there’s a family package that might work out cheaper if you’re on a tight budget (remember you’ll be feeding a child 4 meals a day for a month when you buy a ticket). Plus, it will be a fun outing for you and your little ones.
